Gervas from Zimbabwe
Sometimes when you meet someone new, it's hard to know if you'll get along. Not on this occasion! Gervas made our photo session a breeze. He's a great guy and we managed to have a lot to talk about. Though he was a little nervous at first, you wouldn't know it from the shots we got. He's a natural! Hope we work together again.
I shoot in black and white almost all the time. For this session, it really suited the clothes he was wearing and the light of the day, so I processed them in monochrome, too. They look great. Have a gander!
Getting this shot we disturbed the lady inside. She wasn't impressed. I had no idea people still lived here!
At Huafa Mall we often had to wait for pedestrians
WE HAD A GREAT TIME
I took him around Huafa Mall and then through the alleys and backroads of Beishan. We got more than a few stares, but in the end no problems whatsoever.
Afterwards, he texted me: "Thanks a lot mate, you were patient and I loved working with you, will come for more, be ready!" Anytime mate, let's go to Nanping and get into real trouble next time!
